1899年建造の三菱財閥創始者の岩崎弥太郎の別邸を買い取り1931年に創業。以来「銀座の奥座敷」として皆さまにご愛顧を戴いてまいりました。一歩足を踏み入れれば凛とした、俗世を遮断したかのような静寂で贅沢な空間が約100坪に渡り広がり都内の料亭では最大級の規模を誇ります。敷地の中央に池を配しそこで優雅に泳ぐ錦鯉の姿や、四季折々で顔を変える日本庭園を眺めながらお食事をお愉しみ戴けます。接待など少人数様でご利用頂けるお部屋から最大120名様ご利用頂ける大広間をご用意しております。厳選した魚介類、野菜、お肉を使い一皿、一皿心をこめてご提供しております。お客様にはお料理でも四季を感じて頂けるよう毎月献立を替えております。余計な手を加えず出汁でしっかりと味を付けることで優しく繊細な、口にした者すべてを虜にするような味付けです。それは東京人の味覚江戸前の味にこだわった創業者本多次作だからこそ作り出せた味ともいえます。なかでも当店名物「鶏の水炊き」は「水たき番」と呼ばれる専任の、たった一人の料理人によりかたくなに創業当時からその味が守られています。
